Revolutionary Rest Nests 2018

Pool noodles, fabric, with soundscape composed for the room by Luke Jaaniste

Remove your shoes, climb on in, and rest awhile.

Rest can be such a revolutionary act in a society that constantly reinforces that our value lies in our productivity. Living with a chronic illness has meant that some days I have little choice but to just rest. I used to feel guilty because I needed to rest, now I embrace my need wholeheartedly, publicly napping as artistic activism. I actively encourage others to do the same through my works designed to embrace whole bodies.
