Love Nests

2018

Pool noodles, fabric

This work was commissioned by body installation artist Megan Janet White (HAIKU Arts/ Theatre of Thunder) who curated the Village of Thunder performance area, Shack of The Devil’s Apple, atop Horse Hill at Jungle Love Festival, Imbil, Nov 29 – Dec 1, 2018.

The Love Nests developed from previous works, adapting the clean white Revolutionary Rest Nests into a robust work suitable for an outdoor music festival. The look of the work, exposing its components and joints was designed in response to Megan Janet White’s costuming of her Theatre of Thunder Sonic Butoh performance troupe.
